About SIGN

Built from the salon floor, not the boardroom.

With more than three decades in hairdressing, I have watched the industry shift in a direction that doesn’t feel sustainable. Fewer young people are choosing hairdressing, and too many apprentices are leaving before they even have the chance to thrive.

SIGN was born from a simple belief: If we want a stronger industry, we have to build it together.

My mission is to bring hairdressers together, lift the standard of training and support, and create a future that feels exciting, modern, and full of opportunity.

What SIGN stands for

SIGN exists to support the industry in a positive, practical, and forward‑thinking way. Everything we build is designed to:

  • Strengthen the apprentice experience

  • Support salon owners with tools that reduce pressure

  • Create long‑term industry growth

  • Rebuild pride, professionalism, and connection

  • Make hairdressing a career people want to stay in

This isn’t about reinventing the wheel — it’s about giving the industry the structure, confidence, and community it’s been missing.

Where SIGN Begins:

The Master Apprentice Program

The first chapter of SIGN is focused on apprentices — because they are the future of the industry.

The Master Apprentice Program (MAP) helps apprentices build the skills that keep them in the industry long‑term:

  • Confidence

  • Communication

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Personal identity and professional brand

MAP gives apprentices the tools they need to feel capable, supported, and proud of their career — and it gives salon owners breathing room, knowing their apprentice is developing the soft skills that matter just as much as technical training.

Where SIGN Is Going

SIGN is only just getting started. The long‑term vision includes a full industry platform designed to bring hairdressers, apprentices, educators, and salon owners together in one place.

The next major step in the SIGN ecosystem is TRACK...

But, we can't say any more about that just yet.
